BBLC has announced its new tariffs for the upcoming gas years 2022/2023 and beyond which apply to Forward Flow (NL to UK) and Reverse Flow (UK to NL) capacity products offered via PRISMA and via Implicit Allocations.

BBL’s annual planned maintenance period will take place during 4 gas days starting from Monday 8 September 2025 at 06:00 CEST. Activities will be resumed on Friday 12 September 2025 at 06:00 CEST.

Given recent articles in the media, BBL Company would like to announce that it has not had any issues with gas quality while transporting the gas.

Due to returning operational difficulties BBLC will reduce its Reverse Flow capacity to zero starting gas day 2 February 2022 06.00 AM.

On 23 December 2024, the Dutch regulator, the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) published its final decision to amend the Transportcode gas LNB introducing a basis to impose an Inter-Transmission System Operation Compensation (ITC) on transmission system operators, more specifically on BBLC.

On 5 July 2023, Ofgem approved the Pressure Service Charges Agreement between BBL Company and National Gas Transmission, which makes it possible for BBL Company to increase the Reverse Flow capacity at IP Bacton from 7,699,193 kWh/h to 10 GWh/h. The increased pressure service will be implemented from 19 July 2023 onwards and is agreed upon to be initially on a temporary basis, applying up to and including Gas Day 30 September 2023.

Currently, the BBL physical flow direction is set to Reverse Flow (GB to NL). BBLC will be switching the physical flow direction to Forward Flow (NL to GB) starting on 17 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST. This process is expected to take one gas day.

On 19 October 2023, BBLC announced a tariff decrease for Reverse Flow products for the remaining gas days of October 2023. BBLC will maintain the level of these tariffs in November 2023 until further notice.

On 15 July, the Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven, CBb) issued a significant ruling, annulling the decision by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) that had required BBL Company (BBLC) to pay an Inter Transmission System Operator Compensation (ITC) to Gasunie Transport Services (GTS).

Every year BBL Company performs planned maintenance. The 15 - day period within which the planned maintenance will take place in 2025 is the period from 1 September 2025 to 15 September 2025.

BBL Company is pleased to announce an increase in its Implicit Allocation Reverse Flow capacity (GB to NL) for the 2026 summer period. From April through September 2026 , up to 90% of the available reverse flow capacity will be offered to the market.

BBLC has recently published the tariffs for forward flow and reverse flow capacity (FF/RF) for the gas year 2021/2022 on its website. All tariffs are based on NC TAR and our current charging methodology. All published tariffs are maximum tariffs. BBLC may reduce the actual multipliers from the published starting multipliers. The actual multipliers are published on the BBLC website.

On 29 September 2021 Ofgem has approved the GT&C and Charging Methodology which BBLC has consulted in spring 2021.

Starting 1st of May 2024 BBL Company will introduce a tariff discount for seasonal capacity products and will expand its capacity product portfolio by offering shorter term products.

On 15 July 2025, the Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (CBb) concluded that the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) lacked the authority to introduce and impose an Inter-Transmission System Operator (TSO) Compensation (ITC) and annulled its decision. This judgment is final and not subject to further appeal.

BBL Company (BBLC) is pleased to announce that it will introduce a booking incentive to encourage more efficient use of its available products. This booking incentive consists of a discount on the transport tariff for a specific combination of booked standard capacity products.
