Change in Forward Flow Technical Capacity
12 December 2024
In June 2024, BBL Company announced a reduction of its forward flow (NL > GB) technical capacity.
BBL Company has observed a further decrease in historical and future demand for physical gas flow from the Netherlands to Great Britain. Additionally, BBLC is facing electricity grid congestion issues, due to recent policy changes of the electricity network operator.
To ensure continued efficient and reliable operations, BBL Company’s forward flow technical capacity will be further reduced from 18 GWh/h to 10 GWh/h.
Existing forward flow capacity contracts will not be affected by this reduction of forward flow technical capacity.
This reduction will take effect from gas day 13 December 2024. Available capacity products offered via PRISMA and BBLC’s implicit allocation will be adjusted accordingly.
