Currently, the BBL physical flow direction is set to Reverse Flow (GB to NL). BBLC will be switching the physical flow direction to Forward Flow (NL to GB) starting on 1 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST. This process is expected to be completed by 2 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST.

BBL Company is pleased to announce an increase in its Implicit Allocation Reverse Flow capacity (GB to NL) for the 2026 summer period. From April through September 2026 , up to 90% of the available reverse flow capacity will be offered to the market.

BBLC has recently published the tariffs for forward flow and reverse flow capacity (FF/RF) for the gas year 2021/2022 on its website. All tariffs are based on NC TAR and our current charging methodology. All published tariffs are maximum tariffs. BBLC may reduce the actual multipliers from the published starting multipliers. The actual multipliers are published on the BBLC website.

On 29 September 2021 Ofgem has approved the GT&C and Charging Methodology which BBLC has consulted in spring 2021.

Starting 1st of May 2024 BBL Company will introduce a tariff discount for seasonal capacity products and will expand its capacity product portfolio by offering shorter term products.

On 15 July 2025, the Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (CBb) concluded that the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) lacked the authority to introduce and impose an Inter-Transmission System Operator (TSO) Compensation (ITC) and annulled its decision. This judgment is final and not subject to further appeal.

BBL Company (BBLC) is pleased to announce that it will introduce a booking incentive to encourage more efficient use of its available products. This booking incentive consists of a discount on the transport tariff for a specific combination of booked standard capacity products.

Due to recent market developments BBLC will switch the physical flow direction to Reverse Flow (GB > NL), starting gas day 19 October 2023 06:00 CEST. Once the pipeline is in Reverse Flow mode, BBLC enables and facilitates the market to make use of Reverse Flow as a firm capacity product.

BBL Company (BBLC) hereby informs the market that the physical flow direction of the BBL pipeline will be changed from Forward Flow (NL to GB) to Reverse Flow (GB to NL) .

Reverse Flow capacity (GB > NL) In July 2023, BBL Company announced a temporary increase of firm technical available Reverse Flow capacity from 7,000,000 KWh/h to 7,699,193 kWh/h. BBLC is pleased to inform that this increased technical Reverse Flow capacity will remain available.

On gas day 28 October 2023 there will be a switch from summer time to winter time.

BBL Company (BBLC) is pleased to announce that Griffin Markets will go live on 27th of January as the second broker connected to the BBLC Implicit Allocation Mechanism (IAM) platform. This expansion further enhances the options available to BBL shippers, enabling them to book capacity through the broker of their choice.

BBL Company (BBLC) is pleased to announce the launch of a new forward flow Booking Incentive, aimed at promoting more efficient use of its forward flow capacity products. This incentive offers a reduced capacity tariff for shippers who book specific combinations of firm forward flow capacity over multiple years.

BBL’s annual planned maintenance period will take place during 4 gas days starting from Monday 8 September 2025 at 06:00 CEST.

BBL Company (BBLC) is pleased to announce the release of additional capacity under the booking incentive for seasonal reverse flow capacity.

Throughout the year preventive and corrective maintenance is executed on the BBL Company system to assure safe and reliable operation. For a limited period each year, the system is completely shut down to allow for safety checks and maintenance work. The month in which this occurs is announced a year in advance, but the exact dates are announced on the website when we get closer to the actual shutdown.

In June 2024, BBL Company announced a reduction of its forward flow (NL > GB) technical capacity.

The Implicit Allocation Mechanism (IAM) gives BBL Shippers the possibility to obtain unbundled BBLC transmission capacity in combination with a commodity trade at a European gas hub. BBL Company (BBLC) has developed in collaboration with PRISMA an Implicit Allocation Mechanism (IAM) platform, which gives BBL Shippers the option to choose from multiple brokers to obtain such BBL capacity on a first-come, first-served basis. BBLC is allowed to offer up to a maximum of 90% of BBL’s technical capacity through Implicit Allocation.
