For BBL shippers any use of BBL pipeline capacity results in a share of the cost of the electricity and gas used in operations and grid connection costs. Each GTC shipper is required to contribute to their share of these costs based on the allocated capacity.

Throughout the year preventive and corrective maintenance is executed on the BBL Company system to assure safe and reliable operation. For a limited period each year, the system is completely shut down to allow for safety checks and maintenance work. The month in which this occurs is announced a year in advance, but the exact dates are announced on the website when we get closer to the actual shutdown.

Transport Capacity

BBL Company offers shippers services with which they can safely, reliably and efficiently transport gas between the Netherlands and Great Britain.

Responsibilities

In accordance with the requirements of the European Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (CAM NC), BBL Company offers transport capacity products on PRISMA, the joint capacity booking platform of European network operators.

Operational data

The threshold GB domestic gas demand for Conditional Firm Reverse Flow from 1 October 2025 up to and including 31 March 2026 is 144 million m3/day. The threshold GB domestic demand for Conditional Firm Forward Flow from 1 April 2026 up to and including 30 September 2026 is 246 million m3/day.

Will BBLC provide the customs declaration for shippers?

On the Dutch side, BBLC shippers will be responsible for making both import and export customs declarations. The Dutch authorities have information on this topic available on its website. We advise all BBLC shippers to prepare for the required steps for making these import and export customs declarations.

On the GB side, BBLC will arrange customs declarations towards HMRC.

At which point can I book BBL Reverse Flow (GB > NL) capacity on the PRISMA platform?

Bundled* capacity and can be booked on PRISMA at “BACTONEXITIP_BBL” Point 953002 (Entry BBL, reverse flow direction BBL, part of the bundled product).

*The capacity might become unbundled in case NGG cannot match BBLC’s firm capacity

How can I book BBL capacity?

BBL capacity can be booked via two different purchase channels/options:

based on the ENTSOG auction calendar via the central European capacity booking platform PRISMA
via the Implicit Allocation Mechanism (IAM)

At which point can I book BBL Forward Flow (NL > GB) capacity on the PRISMA platform?

Bundled capacity can be booked on PRISMA at: “NLExBactonUKEn” Point 953002 (Exit BBL, forward flow direction BBL, part of the bundled product).

Tariffs gas year 2026 and beyond

BBL Company applies following reserve prices for PRISMA and Implicit Allocation (if offered) capacities. These tariffs reflect the cost of booking solely BBL capacity in Forward Flow (NL to GB) and/or Reverse Flow (GB to NL) direction excluding the commodity charge .
