Late August BBL Company announced that the introduction of interruptible reverse flow services by September 1st 2008 had to be postponed due to the fact that Ofgem had not yet approved the tariff methodology. Apart from the required regulatory approvals by Dutch and UK authorities BBL Company was ready to introduce the service.
Last week BBL Company received Ofgem's formal decision letter. In this letter Ofgem rejects BBL Company's proposal for the tariff methodology for interruptible (non-physical) reverse flow. At this moment BBL Company is analysing the letter. BBL will consult with the authorities and together determine what the next steps will be. BBL doesn't expect to be able to introduce the service in the short term.
