From 1 March 2007 until 1 December 2007, BBL Company will have capacity available in the BBL pipeline. In an open season, that started 21 December 2005, BBL Company offers this capacity to the market.
Many parties have shown their interest during the last few weeks. BBL Company has now determined the definitive closing date on the 15 March 2006, which is two weeks later than originally planned.
Based on a Confidentiality Agreement, BBL Company provides information about tariffs and the General Terms and Conditions to shippers. Shippers can express their interest and send a non binding capacity nomination to BBL Company.
From 15 March 2006 – 1 April 2006, shippers can send binding capacity nominations to BBL Company. In the period between 1–15 April 2006 requested capacity will be allocated to shippers and transportation contracts will be signed.
BBL Company is a joint venture between E.ON-Ruhrgas, Fluxys and the N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie. It constructs a 235 km long 36" high pressure gas pipeline from the Netherlands (Balgzand) to the UK (Bacton). The gas will be flowing from the Netherlands to the UK. In December 2006, BBL Company will start its first commercial operation with two gas compressors. In March 2007, three gas compressors will be available which can deliver a designed capacity of 1.75 million m3/hr.
