As the maintenance programme is progressing and the intended start date of 1 July 2019 for physical reverse flow is approaching, BBLC wishes to update the market again on the status of the technical and regulatory aspects of the project as well as the implementation of the Implicit Allocation Mechanism (IAM).
At the Dutch site the commissioning phase is coming to an end and will to be finished on Friday 28 June 2019. On the UK site the construction team will start the commissioning phase activities for reverse flow on 5 July 2019 until 13 July 2019. Forward flow capacity is expected to be available again on 6 July 2019.
On 20 June 2019 the Joint Office of Gas Transporters (the British Code Administrator for the Uniform Network Code, UNC), approved a modification to the UNC which is needed to execute the Interconnection Agreement between BBL Company and National Grid Gas Plc to facilitate physical reverse flow.
Physical reverse flow is forecasted to be implemented from 12 July 2019 onwards.
On 20 June 2019 Ofgem approved the modified General Terms & Conditions (GT&C) of BBL Company (BBLC), which will enter into force on 1 July 2019.
As approval for marketing capacity via the Implicit Allocation Mechanism (IAM) is now obtained, BBLC will start offering 75% of its technical available forward flow capacity via IAM as of Tuesday 2 July 2019 08:00 AM CET. BBLC’s IAM partner is be Cavendish Markets BV with products offered on PleXhub.
Physical reverse flow capacity will be made available via IAM and PRISMA once Ofgem has approved the Interconnection Agreement between BBLC and National Grid and the project is technically completed.
