BBL Company starts market consultation to investigate need for physical reverse flow capacity

On 12 November 2010 the Regulation (EU) No. 994/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 October 2010 concerning measures to safeguard security of gas supply (the Regulation) was published in the Official Journal of the EU.

Following Article 7.1 of this Regulation transmission system operators (TSOs) are required to submit a proposal for bi-directional capacity (physical reverse flow capacity) or a request to the authorities concerned for an exemption from the obligation to enable physical reverse flow capacity. In accordance with Article 7.2 of the Regulation the proposal for physical reverse flow capacity or the exemption request shall be based on, amongst others, an assessment of market demand. BBL Company will meet this obligation by means of this market consultation.
