Quality assurance during the project

Policy and objectives

The project places high importance and priority on quality assurance and control. The contractors and suppliers shall ensure that they apply QA/QC systems. The quality assurance systems shall be based upon recognised quality assurance principles for organisation, planning, performance, documentation and independent verification of all work.

The contractors and suppliers shall execute the work in accordance with all relevant requirements from NL/UK legislation, standards and specifications, as prescribed in the contract.

The objective is to ensure all arrangements and practises are suitable for the purpose to realize a project for BBL vof that is safe and fit for its purpose and is within planning and budget.

Competence

Competence is a key subject in realization of the project. All Project staff/team members shall be fully competent for their tasks. This is achieved through selection of staff personnel and extra training where necessary, will be planned.

The same will apply for the suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors. This is an aspect in contractor/supplier selection.

Where inspections are carried out the inspectors shall be certified as appropriate for their inspection task. The same applies for welding engineers, ndt-personnel welders, electrical expertise etc. Inspection Bodies shall be accredited for their scope of work and shall be authorized by the relevant Competent Authority for this.
