Bosman appointed Director of BBL Company V.O.F.

Ing. Martin Bosman MBA has been appointed as Managing Director of the "BBL Company V.O.F.". This is a joint venture between E.ON-Ruhrgas (D), Fluxys (B) and the N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (see also www.bblcompany.com). The BBL Company will transport the first gas to the UK by the end of 2006. Until recently, Martin Bosman held the position of Commercial Director at Gasunie Engineering B.V..
Drs. Jaap Althuis has been appointed deputy Commercial Director of Gasunie Engineering B.V.. Before this, Jaap Althuis was the manager for international projects at Gasunie Engineering and has more than 30 years' experience in the gas industry, both in the Netherlands and Europe, and also further afield at the World Bank in Washington DC. His appointment provides surety of the continuity of Gasunie Engineering's services.
It was recently decided that the Nederlandse Gasunie is to construct a 235 km long 36" high pressure gas pipeline from the Netherlands (Balgzand) to the UK (Bacton), with a compressor station: the Balgzand-Bacton Line (BBL). This is the climax to Gasunie's 7 years of preparation of this ambitious € 500 million investment project, which is of great importance to the European gas market and the Dutch position in that market.
