The emissions to the air of the compressor station in Anna Paulowna will be kept to a minimum by using electric motors. The entire plant will be driven by tool air wherever possible, which prevents the emission of harmful substances. Dryseals are used for the construction in order to limit the need to vent the compressors. It is occasionally necessary to vent gas for maintenance purposes, but that will also be kept to an absolute minimum. Specific measures have been put in place to reduce the noise of the compressor station. Compressors and electric motors have been fitted with a soundproof outer casing. The above-ground pipeline sections are being insulated. The venting pipes are being fitted with noise dampers. There will not be much traffic to the compressor station because the station is unmanned and only maintenance has to be carried out. The disturbing light radiation to the surrounding area have been reduced by means of special lighting armatures and low lampposts. The height of the construction does not exceed eight meters.
